VISIT TO CENTRAL JAIL. RAIPUR (C.G.)

The students of Disha Law College, Raipur (C.G.) visited Central Jail, Raipur on 25th February 2016 Thursday.
The jail premise was of 63 acres which was comprised with male & female sections along with many others different barracks. The first thing which was explained to the students was to demarcate between the under trail prisoners & activated prisoners. The under trail prisoners was in casual convicted prisoners. The under trail prisoners was in casual dress & the convicted inmates was in uniform.
Then the student visited the section where modern technique was used to have communication between the inmates & the family members of inmates. The student along with various superintendent officers external into jail premises which was shaped like a octagon which is an ideal example of British architecture
It was explained to the students about the structure & working of barracks
The inmates awarded with regororous importance was given rigororous work like proceeding iron object agriculture productions & carpentry
The inmates with simple imprisonment was given works like proceeding soap textile & many other
Jail also include the academic area when the inmates who desired to study & was about the various courses which can be availed by the inmates Hastily student visits the kitchen area where it was explained that how efficiently the jail administration used waste wood instead of LPG gas & in total 50% of LPG is saved by using this method
Over all the visit was successful with the support of Dr. K. K.Gupta, DIG of Central Jail Raipur the Incharge of DLC, Dr. Prashant Dhage, Mrs. Pyali Chattarjee & Asst Prof., Mrs. Urvashi Agrawal along with DLC Student.
